Circus Birthday tea party

Bianca just turned 7 and I wanted to have special tea party for her and her friends. I went with a Vintage circus theme to make it fun. I'm not into the whole kiddie clown look instead I wanted a more Parsian circus look. I went to my favorite party blog to get some inspriation hosstesswiththemostess.com and found a cute idea that really set me in motion for the tea party. I purchased toy animals and decorated them with trim and ribbons, then I bought frosted animal crackers and wafers. The paper flags where glued to the 3 tier plate. I also purchased stripe straws and boxes of animal crackers for each girl to take home. Bianca loves madelines so I also whipped up a batch. The tea party was perfect! The girls enjoyed themselves, I do recommend having someone else take your pictures so you can enjoy the party as well ( i asked my sister). Only complaint was the lion he was ready to burn his tutu when the party was over.

All in white

Something about the color of white that makes me feel like I can breath. The color is so calming. I think that is why I love the look of wedding dresses, I would of loved to became a wedding dress designer. When I got married I designed my own wedding gown it was simple but so fememine with a sweet flirty touch. I bought it practily for nothing because it was a vintage prom gown from the fifties. The neckline was a sweetheart shaped and the material was all tulle. There something about tulle that I just can't resist. I sewed a ruffle on top and it was perfect to me in everyway, not anything like you could of found at just any wedding boutique. In my collection I have a ivory gown that would be perfect for a beach wedding, I say that because of the simpllictiy of the dress it is so light and airy looking. Sweet lace to the hem I thought would be the perfect touch.

The Seafoam Pearl

I have a shop that I created on esty.com about a year ago and for about a while I haven't had the time to devote my time to it. Well now I have recently decided it was time to start doing the things I Love to do even if it means small amounts at a time. The reason I named my shop The Seafoam Pearl was that I remembered Carrie ( Sex In the City) had worn this beautiful dress when she bumped into Big in Paris. The color of the dress was called seafoam and it just seemed so timeless. I have a dozen other names I would like but this seemed to fit well so thats how the shop got its name. I have collected different pieces over the years and have finally decided to sell them in my shop. And yes I even own something that is a seafoam color. It is sad for me to let go of something so beautiful to me but I know its new owner will love it just as I did. From time to time I will be selling from my own collection and sometimes I will be giving them my own personal touch. These pieces are usually vintage and are very rare to find which to me makes them almost one of a kind. I will be posting different pictures on my blog and will let you know when I will be selling them on Esty. Here are just a few pictures I took today of the dress I will be getting ready for my shop. And of course a few other that remind me the color of Carrie's beautiful ballerina dress. Enjoy.
Before...

After.

Pride and Prejudice

I actually just watched this movie for the very first time two weeks ago. And I'm so in love with it my husband will come home and say "your watching that movie again". It is so good if your into love stories. I wish more men were more like Mr. Darcy confessing their true love to you. Or maybe I just wish I could get all fancy for a grand ball and dance all night with champagne all in hand. Life is so different now and I wish I could go back to a more simpler time like back then...I dream to much I guess. My favorite part is when its raining and he tells Elizabeth that he loves her. I think every girl deserves their own Mr. Darcy, dont you?
